At Kidz Mob our values are the Six C's which are Community, Culture, Care, Creativity, Choice, and Collaboration. These values underpin everything that we do.

Our philosophy, which stems from our motto, learning from the Dreamtime, acknowledges the wisdom, culture and beliefs of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people that has been passed on through generations. Kidz Mob believes that incorporating Indigenous culture, and the culture of families who attend our services, is the key to fostering a community of services that are inclusive, environmentally conscious, and a safe space for all children.
Kidz Mob commits to strengthening our practices and respectfully embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' cultures into all of our programs and service delivery is at the forefront of our organisations philosophy. Kidz Mob Mapleton's services vision for reconciliation is to create a culturally safe, inclusive environment for children, Educators, parents and the wider community. We will achieve this vision through providing high quality, culturally appropriate programs for school aged children throughout our service and will build meaningful relationships with local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders and people to engage with our service in a range of capacities. We will support children through our programs to acknowledge and learn about Australia's shared history, and the inter-generational impacts that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people have faced since colonisation. We want to guide and actively encourage our Outside School Hours Care sector to reflect and improve the expectations on OSHC services around the respectful embedding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' cultures. Particularly, we want to advocate for the National Quality Standards (NQS) to acknowledge the need for each childcare/OSHC service to have an active Reconciliation Action Plan that they engage with and contribute too, as part of a service's rating and assessment. We believe that the embedding of this into the NQS will be a step towards ensuring that all childcare/OSHC services are culturally safe for all children but in particular that of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and people.

Kidz Mob is an Indigenous identified Outside School Hours Care provider. Kidz Mob is dedicated to incorporating Indigenous culture, and the culture of families who attend our services, to foster a community of services that are inclusive, environmentally conscious, and a safe space for all children.

Our head office is based in South East Queensland, and we are striving to create a community of services throughout Queensland that care for children in an inclusive, fun, engaging environment, that supports families. Find one of our OSHC childcare services near you today to join in on the fun!

We were very fortunate to attend the 2026 Musgrave Park Family Fun Day. This is Australia's largest NAIDOC Cultural Celebration! This event is a family friendly festival filled with live entertainment, exhibits and activities showcasing First Nations People, Culture and Heritage.
At our stall we had a free kids game we created called "Native Paws and Claws". Children and adults had to match the Australian animal bean bag faces to the paw or claw print on the board, and then toss them through! The activity was a big hit and anyone who participated received a bubble wand, frisbee or playdough! We cannot wait to be apart of this deadly event next year.

Our wonderful Mapleton service Coordinator Crea had the honour of attending the Dreaming Collective Reconciliation Breakfast 2026 on the QIBN table. Thank you to q.i.b.n and Paul Graham for inviting us to be part of your table and this deadly event. Crea shared that the music, speeches and stories were heart felt and resonated with her.

We had the pleasure of being invited to participate in Under 8's Day at Kingaroy State School, Mapleton State School, Amamoor State School and the Childers Community event. At most of our Under 8's Day we did pipe cleaner bubble wands!
The kids absolutely loved it and we cannot wait to be involved again next year!

In November 2025 we had the privilege of attending the Supply Nation Indigenous Business Trade Fair 2025. It was an incredible event showcasing Indigenous business’ from all different industries. We cannot wait to attend again next year!

Our co-founder Charlie made a digital Aboriginal art piece for Childers State School to use for staff uniforms, email banners and this brand new cold water bubbler for the kids! Check out the pic for his Deadly work.

We have been invited to attend Kingaroy Primary + High School's NAIDOC Celebration 2026 to be held on the 21st July 2026 from 9am to 3pm. We are super excited to run our Native Paws and Claws game and be part of this deadly event! For our Kingaroy based families we hope to see you there!

"All 3 of my kids (ages 11, 7 & 5) enjoy coming to after school care & vacation care. They ask to go even when they don’t need to as they have so much fun doing the activities & eating the yummy snacks. As a busy working parent it is so helpful to know that this option is available & that my kids are safe & are enjoying themselves when they are there. The staff are young & relatable & I love that a good combination of both inside & outside play are incorporated into the sessions. My boys love kicking a footy around outside with the male staff! I feel lucky that we have this service now available at Mapleton."

"The team at Kidz Mob are incredibly caring, fun and professional and we're so lucky to have them in our community. We especially enjoy the craft activities at after school care and variety of holiday excursions on offer. Their freshly made food is scrumptious so I never have to worry about dealing with a hangry child at collection time!
In particular, the consistency and frequency of Kidz Mob's communication really sets them apart from other childcare services we have used in the past. I have no hesitation in recommending that other families try Kidz Mob if they need ad hoc or regular childcare."

We at Kidz Mob would like to acknowledge the traditional custodians of this land on which we work, play, learn and grow. We would also like to pay our respect to Elders past, present and emerging for they hold the hopes, dreams, traditions and cultures of Aboriginal Australia. Our vision for reconciliation is to create an environment that embraces unity between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and other Australians, and a culture that fosters equality, equity and historical acceptance of our shared history.

If you want Outside School Hours Care that is community and family focused, inclusive, safe and of course, fun! You have come to the right place.
